Whilst musing on the best place to write the odd comment…we came up with the concept of 'snippets'. A blend of Facebook and Twitter (but without the need to sign up to social media sites), shorter and more informal than our wordpress blog…a space that offers a sense of community, a way to share links to resources and, for those of you who like to know what we are up to, an insight into the daily life of Single Steps Learning...

Clackmannan Primary School

It is always a privilege to work alongside children, staff, schools and councils in different capacities, but we have to admit that joining 'classes in action' is a favourite of ours.

This was our first visit to Clackmannan Primary, having met most of the teachers during 'Designing for Learning' events. We were overwhelmed by the friendly welcome that we received from everyone.

Thank you to all the classes that we were invited to join throughout the day - either formally or informally. It was great to hear children speak so enthusiastically about their learning.

And to finish the visit - a twilight session where 'Numerical Reasoning' met 'Community Building'. Thank you to everyone for engaging so fully!

We look forward to visiting again!

Primary 5 in action. I followed the sound of their singing! Thank you to the class and the school for permission to upload this audio clip...and for the mention in your class blog, Primary 5!
